Function

A blast cabinet is a modular structure used for blasting materials. The purpose of blasting is 1 or more of the following results:

• Cleaning the surface.
• Improving mechanical properties, for example surface hardness and fatigue resistance, by cold forming.
• Surface roughening for better adhesion of coatings.

The blast cabinet XS (eXtra Small) is a standard variant in the dimensions (LxWxH) 4x4x3m. On request we can offer and realize other dimensions.

Operation

of the blast cabinet:

The object to be blasted is placed in the cabin. The blasting medium in the blast pot is blown under high pressure to the surface to be treated. The spent abrasive is collected under the floor and transported to the cleaning system through a conveyor system. Through the cleaning system it enters the silo, and from there the reusable blast media returns to the blast pot. The air containing suspended dust particles is extracted, and the dust is removed by the dust filter. A variable portion of the purified air can then be recirculated into the cabin for optimum temperature control.
